Fuzz Noise Privacy Policy

Overview

Fuzz Noise is a minimal ambient sound app for sleep and focus. We do not run any backend server and we do not collect or store personal data about you. The only data flowing out of the app is what Google AdMob (our banner-ad provider) and the app stores (for one-time purchases) handle on their own platforms.

Data Collection

Fuzz Noise itself does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Your sound mix, volume levels, timer settings, and premium-purchase status are stored locally on your device.

Permissions

Fuzz Noise requests the following permissions:

• Android — Wake Lock: Keeps the CPU awake so audio can continue playing with the screen off (premium users only).
• iOS — App Tracking Transparency: On iOS, the system asks whether the app may use your advertising identifier. Denying is fine — you will simply see less personalized ads. This permission is used only by Google AdMob (below); the app itself does not track you.

Fuzz Noise does not access the camera, photo library, location, contacts, microphone, or any other system resource.

Network Access

Fuzz Noise makes no network requests to any servers we operate. The only network activity comes from:

• Google AdMob, when loading banner ads (free tier only)
• Google Play Billing / Apple App Store, when you make or restore the one-time premium purchase

Advertising (Google AdMob)

The free version of Fuzz Noise displays banner ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob is operated by Google and is subject to Google's own privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.

When AdMob serves ads, it may collect:

• Device identifiers (e.g. Android Advertising ID, iOS IDFA) — only if you grant tracking consent
• Approximate location (derived from IP address)
• Device type, operating system, and app version
• Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks)

If you decline tracking on iOS via the App Tracking Transparency prompt, AdMob serves non-personalized ads and does not use your advertising identifier.

You can remove ads entirely by purchasing the one-time premium upgrade in the app.

In-App Purchases

Fuzz Noise offers a one-time premium purchase that removes ads and enables background playback. Purchases are processed by Google Play Billing (Android) or the Apple App Store (iOS):

• We never see or store your payment information
• The app receives a purchase token from the store to confirm entitlement; only the entitlement flag is stored locally
• "Restore purchases" works through your store account — no separate Fuzz Noise account is created

Data Storage

All app state is stored locally on your device:

• Active sound mix, per-sound volume, timer settings
• Premium entitlement flag (whether you've purchased ad removal)

This data is never transmitted to servers we operate. There is no account, no cloud backup, and no sync.

Data Deletion

Uninstalling Fuzz Noise from your device permanently removes all local app data. Your store-side purchase history is retained by Google or Apple under their own policies and remains available via "Restore purchases" if you reinstall.

Third-Party Services

Fuzz Noise uses the following third-party services:

• Google AdMob — banner advertising (free tier only). See policies.google.com/privacy.
• Google Play Billing (Android) / Apple App Store (iOS) — in-app purchase processing.

Fuzz Noise does not use analytics, crash reporting, or any other third-party SDK.

Children's Privacy

Fuzz Noise does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. The app is designed for general adult audiences.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted at this URL with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
